Short Bio
- Dr. Wonshik Han received his MD and PhD degrees from the Seoul National University (SNU) College of Medicine in Korea. He has served on the faculty at SNU since 2004 and was promoted to tenured Professor in 2015. He is the former Chief of the Breast Care Center at Seoul National University Hospital. Dr. Han currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for both the Korean Breast Cancer Society (2023–2025) and the Global Breast Cancer Conference (GBCC). He is also a board member of the Korean Cancer Association and the Korea Genome Organization. Dedicated to both patient care and research in breast cancer, Dr. Han has authored over 400 original articles in peer-reviewed journals. His research interests include breast cancer genomics, surgical techniques and their oncologic outcomes, and the development of personalized treatment strategies using novel biomarkers. He is leading several national multicenter clinical trials in South Korea, including PLATO, NAUTILUS, and NeoNAUTILUS.
